Information Notice on the Protection of Personal Data
As CERYUS LTD., we attach great importance to processing and storing your personal data in compliance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“Law”). We would like to inform our customers about the purposes and methods of collecting, processing, and transferring personal data, and accordingly, about your rights arising from the Law.
1. Methods of Collecting Personal Data
As CERYUS LTD., acting as the data controller, within the scope of our legal obligations arising from the legislation; in order for you to benefit from the services of our brands, to inform you about our campaigns with your consent, to record your suggestions and complaints, to establish better service standards for you, and to determine and implement CERYUS LTD.’s commercial and business strategies, we collect your personal data verbally, in writing, or electronically through channels such as verbal communication, our website, social media platforms, mobile applications, and similar means.
2. Processing of Personal Data and Purposes of Processing
As CERYUS LTD., acting as the data controller, through our call centres, written communication channels, social media pages, mobile communication channels, in-store communication channels and/or all kinds of channels without limitation; your personal and/or special categories of personal data obtained with your consent may be collected in whole or in part, recorded, stored, retained, modified, updated, periodically checked, rearranged, classified, kept for the period required for the purpose of processing or for the period stipulated in the relevant legislation, shared/transferred with private/legal persons that CERYUS LTD. cooperates with or public institutions and organisations that it is legally obliged to, and/or relevant third party natural/legal persons residing in Türkiye or abroad, and transferred abroad where required by legal or service-related operational necessities, provided that necessary security measures are taken.
We hereby inform you that CERYUS LTD. may process your personal data—at all times in accordance with the Law No. 6698 and relevant legislation—for purposes such as enabling customers to benefit from our brands’ services, informing you about our campaigns with your consent, recording your suggestions and complaints, creating better service standards for you, and determining and implementing CERYUS LTD.’s commercial and business strategies.
3. Transfer of Personal Data
CERYUS LTD. may share your personal data only; based on your explicit consent or within the framework of the security and confidentiality principles specified in the Law, provided that adequate measures are taken domestically and the necessary security measures are taken abroad, for the purposes of conducting the Company’s activities, ensuring the business relationship between data subjects and our customers and/or holding meetings for this purpose, offering services, opportunities and benefits, and improving service quality; with our group companies, business partners, customers with whom we have agreements and to whom we provide services as required by our activities, suppliers, audit firms, or public institutions/organisations and other relevant authorities that are authorised to request such data due to a legal obligation.
4. Rights of the Personal Data Subject Listed in Article 11 of the Law
CERYUS LTD. will respond to the following requests of relevant persons:
a) To learn whether CERYUS LTD. processes personal data about them and which personal data are processed,
b) To request information regarding the purposes of processing activities,
c) To know the third parties to whom CERYUS LTD. transfers personal data domestically or abroad,
d) To request correction of personal data if it is processed incompletely or inaccurately,
e) To request deletion or destruction of personal data in accordance with the Law,
f) If correction, deletion or destruction is requested; to request that the transactions carried out be notified to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,
g) To object to the occurrence of a result against the person by analysing the processed data exclusively through automated systems, and
h) To obtain a copy of their personal data.
Privacy and Security
CERYUS LTD. Online Shop requests some of your personal information (name, age, interests, e-mail, etc.) in order to provide better service to its customers. This information collected on CERYUS LTD. Online Shop servers is used only within CERYUS LTD. Online Shop for periodic campaign activities, designing special promotional activities for customer profiles, and customer “classification” efforts aimed at preventing the delivery of unwanted e-mails. CERYUS LTD. It is not possible for anyone else to access or change this information. Credit card information requested on the payment page is not stored on the servers of CERYUS LTD. Online Shop or the companies providing services to it, in order to keep the security of our customers shopping on the site at the highest level.
